John
and Ann Batar are United States longest married couple. Ann now 97 and
John 101 are still living in their home along the Fairfield shore. They
grew up across the street from each other and John used to drive Ann to
high school, and then they fell in love.
Ann's father had arranged for her to marry another man, but fortunately
they eloped in New York. They are still together and so happy with each
other.
They
have five children, 14 grandchildren and 16 great grandchildren. "They
live with contentment and don't live beyond their means" says John
Ann also stated that "We were fortunate enough to
live long enough to see this ... and it's really one of the most
gratifying things in the world to see your great-grandchildren, to see
your grandchildren become adults."
Am so happy for this old couples....
