20 Killed In Kano-Maiduguri Federal Highway As Driver Tries To Beat 6pm Curfew

20 people where confirmed dead by the sector commander of the Federal Road Commission (FRSC) in Yobe yesterday. An 18 seated bus which was carrying 20 passengers from Kano was speeding to beat the 6pm curfew in Potiskum, which is the commercial nerve of the state. Along Kano-Maiduguri highway, on a very high speed the bus ran into a truck owned by a constructing company killing every individuals in the bus. There was no good Samaritan to intervene in the situation because FRSC has suspended operation along Kano-Maiduguri highway due to the security challenges faced by indigenes.

Its also been noted that life has been lost on that highway countless times because most of the reckless drivers want to beat the 6pm curfew in Potiskum town.
